Break out of the winter doldrums with a fun couple of days in the north Georgia mountains enjoying the scenery, visiting wineries, and sampling some of the finest wine available.
The Winegrowers Association of Georgia is sponsoring its first annual Wine Highway Weekend on March 18th and 19th, 2006. What is the Wine Highway? It is a route through beautiful north Georgia that links all the member wineries in the area.
Member wineries and affiliate members will each provide their own unique open-house format, with many offering food and wine pairings, barrel and library wine tastings, discounts, drawings and other special attractions. There is no charge for this event, however, some wineries do charge for tastings. Check each winery’s web site for hours, directions, events, and local laws regulating wine sales on Sunday.
