“After brainstorming and taking into consideration the area’s football fans, we have finally set the dates for this year’s upcoming Strike for Survival events,” said Bob Liddle, event founder. Being an avid football fan himself, it was difficult to find a weekend that would suite everyone’s college football fan preference, but there have been decisions made on which dates the events will fall this year.
Strike For Survival holds an annual weekend of bowling in the Triangle area including locations in Raleigh, Durham and Cary. Based on the motto “Cancer-we all live with it”, all proceeds are directed to the American Cancer Society and their efforts to find a cure for cancer. The goal of the event is to provide a fun-filled, family friendly environment with the hope of every participant walking away with knowledge of cancer and how to survive it.
There are many ways to get involved on helping raise money for this cause.
Become a sponsor, be a bowler or help volunteer. Bowling is only $25 per bowler and this cost includes pizza, drinks, shoe rental, raffle ticket, goody bag and all the fun and entertainment you can fit into a game. For more information on the event, visit www.strikeforsurvival.com.
There are four different locations for the events, two in Raleigh and one in both Cary and Durham.
