I am writing to you to share something that I believe God placed on my heart several months ago. I recently heard a missionary describe the poverty in Appalachia, and particularly of the needs of many babies in the region. I can't shake the thoughts of babies shivering through the night and have decided to do something about it. My goal is to gather 200 baby blankets before the first week of December is up. We plan to distribute them in the Copper Basin area through the Copper Basin Baptist Association and Crisis Center located in Ducktown, TN, a women's birthing prison located in West Va., and of course here locally.
