The Alpharetta Police Athletic/Activities League (Alpharetta PAL) is pleased to host its 14th annual benefit and recognition ball Friday, March 12, from 6:30 to midnight at the Metropolitan Club on Windward Parkway.

All hands are planning a fun-filled evening of dinner, dancing, casino-style gambling, silent and live auctions and more, as this year’s PAL ball has a cruise ship theme. From a tux and long black dress to shuffle board whites and flip-flops, any attire is suitable. Partygoers will enjoy tropical hors d’oeuvres, colorful cocktails and other culinary delights from the high seas.

The ball benefits Alpharetta PAL, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit community based outreach organization created to provide a variety of services to Alpharetta’s youth while establishing a bond of mutual respect, understanding and trust with the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

"The PAL Ball is an event that has become much anticipated by the entire north Fulton Community every year,” said PAL Board Chairman Jim Paine. “Besides being the principle fund raiser for PAL, it's a fabulous party with a different theme every year. Attending ‘The Ball’ has become a tradition with many over the last 14 years.”

Tickets for the event are $75 and can be obtained at City Hall and the Public Safety Headquarters at 2565 Old Milton Parkway. The Metropolitan Club is located at 5875 Windward Parkway, at the corner of Edison and Windward Parkway in Alpharetta.

PAL’s mission is to provide an environment of Leaders Building Leaders using a system of having kids teaching/mentoring kids under the supervision of and in partnership with the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, with the overall objective of youth crime prevention.

“As with all non-profit organizations, Alpharetta PAL relies heavily on fundraising and donations,” said PAL CEO Jason Cimino. “There are several opportunities for individuals and companies to participate as a sponsor in this. It is a very important fundraising event for us.”
