The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a dense fog advisory, which is in effect until 10 am est this morning.

Areas of dense fog will restrict visibility to below one quarter of a mile this morning across much of North Georgia, mainly north of a Carrollton to Atlanta to Athens line. The fog should burn off by mid-morning.

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Allow some extra time to reach your destination during the morning commute.
