Forsyth County Republican Party will host a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, October 10th at 7:00 PM. The purpose will be to discuss the upcoming SPLOST issue that will be presented to voters on the November ballot.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, October 10th at 7:00 PM at the following location:

Kiwanis Building
417 Pilgrim Mill Rd
Cumming, GA

Learn about the SPLOSTThe local GOP will not be taking an official position either for or against the SPLOST. However, we believe that we have already won the issue. Recent efforts by the leadership of the local Republican Party forced the abandonment of plans to hold the SPLOST issue in a special election vote. This will allow for the maximum voter participation on this important tax question. Our party values believe that it is the people's government, and that the people should have the maximum input possible.

In that vein, the SPLOST Town Hall will be presented to allow you, the voter, to learn about the pros and cons of this sales tax. Once again, the local Republican Party has invited members of our Board of Education to come and make its case for this new tax. The heart of this Town Hall will be unscreened, uncensored questions and debate for the voters.

Invite your friends and neighbors and come learn about this important issue that we will be asked to decide in November.
