AGCO Corporation (NYSE: AG), a Fortune 500 global manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, will display its new 4WD articulated tractor, the MT900B series, at its world headquarters in Duluth, GA on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, 9:00a.m.–11:00 a.m.

On display will be the MT975B – the largest of the MT900B series – featuring:
  • 570 HP
  • Total length 25 feet
  • Height of 13 feet to the top of the cab
  • Total width 17 feet
  • Weighs 30 tons (60,000 lbs)
  • Wheel base of 13 feet across
  • Fuel tank capacity of 390 gallons
  • Maximum speed of 24.5 mph
  • Produced in Jackson, Minnesota (key farming country)

The MT975B allows farmers to cover more acreage with the same amount of equipment. As farms continue to get bigger and acreages get larger, the requirements for equipment that can more efficiently till, plant and harvest have become increasingly technologically advanced. The number of farms in the world below one acre is decreasing by approximately 25% every year, and the number of farms above 2,000 acres is increasing by nearly 30%. Farms are getting larger, and as a result farmers are getting more sophisticated in how they approach the business of farming. The MT975B represents the future of global farming.

AGCO Corporation is located at 4205 River Green Parkway, Duluth, GA 30096.
