Cumming’s own Georgia Buccaneers capped off a tremendous first season by working their way through the playoffs to compete in the Deep South Football League’s Championship Game against the defending champion and undefeated Chattanooga Steam.   While the Bucs finished runner-up, the team is proud of their accomplishments and looks to continue their winning ways into next season by using our success to attract new players, coaches, sponsors and community support. 

The Buccaneers are led by Owner/Head Coach Hugh Dixon from Vidalia, GA who has visions of greatness for this organization, but he needs the support of motivated coaches, players, volunteers and the Cumming Community to drive the Buccaneer Express.  Through the support of partners like Stoneage Stonescapes, http://www.stoneagerocks.com, Chick-fil-a, Buzz Jr. Mosquito Misting Systems, Atlanta Checker Cab, Dinsmore’s Tractor, Etowah Landscaping Group, Mad Hatter Chimney Services, Cumminghome.com and Windnet Inc, who hosts our website at http://gabuccaneers.com, we are able to field a competitive Minor League Football Team.  For next season, the Bucs are looking for new players to sign up on http://gabuccaneers.com, along with qualified coaches, trainers, marketing interns and volunteers. 

The Georgia Buccaneers are a Minor League Football Team located in Cumming, GA that plays in the Deep South Football League (DSFL) and are looking to play in the United South Football League (USFL) in the coming seasons.  In the first year of competition, the team was able to play in the DSFL Championship Game using Chattahoochee High School in Alpharetta, GA as its Home Field.  The team’s colors are Orange, Blue and White and the logo is similar to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  The Bucs are interested in finding a home in Cumming, GA and would like to become an integral part of community events and activities.  If you would like to contact the Georgia Buccaneers or offer any ideas or support, please email Hugh Dixon at gabuccaneers@gmail.com.
