FORSYTHCOUNTY, Georgia – A photograph of Forsyth County will be seen by county officials throughout Georgia in a publication of the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG). The photo was submitted by Forsyth County to the ACCG 2009 Yearbook Cover Image Contest and was selected as the winning submission. The photograph is featured on the cover of the 2009 ACCG County Yearbook, distributed throughout June.
The photograph was taken by Christopher LeBlanc, outdoor programs coordinator for the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department. It shows a pasture near Sawnee Mountain.
“The County Yearbook is one of our most popular publications and serves as a resource for county officials across the state,” ACCG Communications Director Beth Brown said. “This is the first year we have held a contest to solicit photographs for the cover, and we are pleased to recognize Forsyth County for their submission which showcases a very tranquil setting in one of our fastest growing counties.” The ACCG County Yearbook is an annual publication distributed to county commissioners, managers, clerks and attorneys throughout the state. It serves as an information resource for and about county government in Georgia.
