Sen. Buckner to Lead Hearing on Georgia's Pandemic Preparedness

Sen. Gail Buckner (D-Jonesboro) will lead a public hearing on Georgia ’s preparedness to deal with pandemic situations on Monday, Nov. 16 at the State Capitol. Sen. Buckner and other legislators will hear presentations from Dr. Patrick O’Neal, chief of the Emergency Preparedness & Response Division of the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH), and from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA). Representatives from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have also been invited to speak.
