Mrs. Catherine Bullock Chamblee, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010. "Tippy" as she was known to her family and friends, and "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was a rare and special person. Loving and devoted are inadequate to describe her unselfish generosity of spirit and unconditional love for her family. We have said our goodbyes but she will be remembered forever and deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. John J. Chamblee, US Army (Ret.) and survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Scott Simonson of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, John and Gayle Chamblee of Austin, TX; brother, John W. Bullock of Birmingham, AL; sister-in-law Margaret Chamblee Owens of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Gregory, Robert, Catherine, Heather, Kristine, James and Mia; and great-grandchildren, Aiden, Gregory, Jr., Carter, Evan and Piper. Memorial services will be held in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, on January 16, 2010. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
