Covenant Christian Academy, a K4-12th grade private Christian school located southwest of Cumming, is gearing up for another successful school year. Over the course of twenty-seven years, Covenant has grown from a small church school to a distinctive, independent, fully accredited academy with over two hundred students. The academy currently has over one hundred thirty families who represent more than fifty churches in the metro Atlanta area.
As enrollment continues to steadily grow, the academy continues to add additional academic, service, and fine arts opportunities for Covenant students and their families.

In the most recent “State-of the-School Address”, Headmaster Johnathan Arnold announced new additions to the educational and fine arts program at Covenant Christian Academy. These include a spring drama production, a senior career essentials course, and a high school missions trip. Additional offerings are still in preliminary stages of development and will be announced soon.

From the start, Covenant Christian Academy has offered faith-based instruction in an environment designed to nourish academic, physical, social, and spiritual growth. With a strong core curriculum, qualified faculty, a close parent-teacher partnership, and consistent open communication between families and school personnel, Covenant has built strong students as well as a solid reputation of excellence in the community and the state of Georgia.

Covenant has one of the area’s highest percentages of high school graduates attending colleges and universities. Most of Covenant’s graduates have been offered and accepted athletic and academic scholarships to local and out-of-state colleges and universities. In the 2009 graduating class, 100% of the graduates were accepted at undergraduate schools including Georgia Tech, Shorter College, Kennesaw State University, and Mercer University. Two 2009 graduates, Tori Watson and Erica Fulbright, accepted athletic scholarships for women’s soccer. Valedictorian Grace Scharoun accepted academic and athletic scholarships to Mercer University.

Covenant’s athletic program consists of both middle school and varsity teams. The academy is a member of the Georgia Christian Athletic Association and welcomes 6th-12th grade students, in good academic standing, to participate on the teams of their choice. Teams include boys’ and girls’ soccer, boys’ baseball, boys’ and girls’ basketball, and girls’ volleyball teams.

The school is currently offering summer tours at 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Appointments can also be made for other times, as needed. Covenant currently has openings in K4, 3rd, 6th, and 8th-12th grades. Annual tuition is $6,000 annually for K4 and K5, and $6,600 for 1st -12th grades.
