One board member must be selected to serve on GSBA's Legislative Liaison Network as the board's representative for the 2010 session of the Georgia General Assembly.

The two primary functions of the Legislative Liaison Network are as follows:

1) to receive and "pass through" to other members of the board and superintendent important actions of the Georgia General Assembly as they unfold, and

2) to communicate legislative needs upon request to legislators representing the school district. Experience in legislative matters is not a requirement; however, naming a person from your board who will take an active part in communicating with your legislators is of great importance. They should have an email address.
