Citizens invited to learn about proposed plan.

The Forsyth County Engineering Department will hold a public information open house regarding the widening and reconstruction of Old Atlanta Road from Sharon Road to McGinnis Ferry Road Thursday, November 12. The meeting will be held at Sharon Elementary School, located at 3595 Old Atlanta Road in Suwanee.

This project proposes widening the existing two lanes of Old Atlanta Road to a four-lane roadway with a 20-foot raised median, curb and gutter, sidewalks and turn lanes, as needed. The purpose of this open house is to provide the public an opportunity to view the proposed concept design for Old Atlanta Road, ask questions and comment on the proposal. The open house will be conducted between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m. The event will be informal and the public is invited to attend anytime during these hours.
