The Georgia Department of Transportation is still working at the intersection of SR 369/Browns Bridge Road and Shady Grove Road.
The new signal for the intersection did not go into flash or test mode yesterday. “Crews did not finish the paving work on Shady Grove. There is also concrete work that needs to be completed and the pedestrian facilities must be installed before the traffic signal can go into test mode. We will let you know as soon as we can put the signal in flash,” explained DOT District Engineer Russell McMurry.
Georgia DOT urges travelers to call 511 for updated information about this or any other construction project on interstates and state routes. Georgia 511 is a free phone service that provides real-time traffic and travel information statewide, such as traffic conditions, incidents, lane closures, and delays due to inclement weather. Callers also can transfer to operators to request assistance or report incidents 24 hours a day, seven days a week. More information is available at www.511ga.org.
