TFast action plays, trick shots and courtside antics are all in store for spectators when the Dawsonville Shooting Stars tip off with the Harlem Ambassadors on at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 26, at the Dawson County High School gymnasium.

“The Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau are excited to bring this nationally known professional basketball team to our community,” said Marty Williams, vice president of tourism. “The Harlem Ambassadors are outstanding athletes who put on a great show. Not only that, each player is certified drug-free and is a role model for staying in school and staying off drugs.”

The basketball playing prowess of the Harlem Ambassadors is legendary. Perhaps less famous is the Dawsonville Shooting Stars’ team, which will be made up of local talent and celebrities.

“It’ll be great entertainment for the whole family,” promised Williams.

Game day is February 26 with the tip off at 7 p.m. at the Dawson County High School gymnasium on Perimeter Road. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Ticket prices: $6/students and seniors in advance; $8 on game day; $8/general public in advance; and $10 on game day. Kids four and under are free. Fans are invited to stay after the game and meet the players at the autograph session.
