Forsyth County counselor and Big Canoe/Dawson County resident, Barbara J. Peters, RN, LPC, NCC, will visit Heavenly Dove bookstore in Cumming on Saturday, February 13, for a pre-Valentine's Day book signing.
Her just-released book, The Gift of a Lifetime: Building a Marriage That Lasts, provides tangible ways to make a marriage last a lifetime. Peters introduces her own formula called F.A.C.T.S. -- Forgiveness, Acceptance, Compassion, Trust and Spirituality -- and adds another acronym, F.A.I.T.H. to provide a solid plan for a lasting commitment.
"While The Gift of a Lifetime is perfect for Valentine's Day, it's also something a mother may want to give to her engaged daughter, or a new bride may wish to give as a wedding gift to her groom," explains Barbara Peters. "I have a long-time passion for the institution of marriage, and after receiving a touching letter from a couple I'd successfully counseled, I felt compelled to write this book. My desire is to help make strong marriages even stronger, help heal those that are in trouble, and show couples in all stages of their marriages how satisfying it can be to work towards a beautiful lifelong commitment."
Peters will be available to sign her book from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. on February 13 at Heavenly Dove. For more information on The Gift of a Lifetime, please visit www.thegiftofalifetime.net. To schedule Peters for a book signing, please e-mail to luvanrn@worldnet.att.net.
