Donald Ray Heady, 54, of Dawsonville died January 20, 2010 at his residence following a period of declining health.
Born September 23, 1955 in Peoria, Illinois, Mr. Heady had lived in Dawson County for the past eight years, having moved from Gainesville. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of Viet Nam and was preceded in death by his father, Vernon D. Heady, Sr., and brothers, Vernon D. Heady, Jr., Curt Alan Heady, and Dennis Eugene Heady.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Gladys and Robert Webb, Creve Coeur, IL; sister and brother in law, Mary and Mike Weller, East Peoria, IL.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday January 26, 2010 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.
