Eva Satterfield Taylor, 78, of Wingate, NC. died Wednesday July 29, 2009 at the Rehab and Nursing Center of Monroe following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Taylor was born May 25, 1931 in White County, Georgia to the late Marvin and Mary Allen Satterfield.  She had lived in North Carolina for the past 28 years having moved from South Carolina.  She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Monroe, NC.

Surviving are her husband, Rev. William J. “Bill” Taylor, Wingate, NC; daughters and son in law, Diane T. Ingram, Indian Trail, NC, Robin T. and Rick Bowers, Denver, CO; grandchildren, Nathan Winburn, Matthew Bowers, Erin Bowers Nelson, Ashton Bowers; great grandchildren, Evan, Lana and Garrett Nelson; brother, Ray Satterfield, Gainesville, GA; niece, Connie Braselton, Flowery Branch, GA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 8, 2009 at 1 o’clock at Liberty Baptist Church.  Rev. Joe Haskett will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, August 6, 2009 from 6 until 8 at Grace Baptist Church in Monroe, NC and on Friday evening, August 7, 2009 from 5 until 8 at Bearden Funeral Home.
