Jeanne Castle, 65, of Dawsonville died Saturday January 16, 2010 at her residence following a brief illness.

Born August 13, 1944 in Flushing, NY to the late Frank and Francine Arena, Jeanne grew up and lived many years in California prior to moving to Dahlonega in 1998 and to Dawson County five years ago.  She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 37 years and worked several years at Gold City Convalescent Center before being employed by Longstreet Clinic Pediatrics until she retired.

Surviving are her daughters and sons in law, Laura and Keith Bishop, Dawsonville, Drs. Liesa and Hal Hill, Lookout Mountain, TN, Rhonda and Jason Brewer, Tampa, FL; sister, Carolyn Montgomery, Elizabethtown, CO; grandchildren, Stephanie Bishop, Kellie Bishop, Scott Hill, Audrey Jeanne Hill, Helena Brewer.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday January 22, 2010 at 11 o’clock at Christ Redeemer Catholic Church, 991 Kilough Church Road, Dawsonville, GA  30534.  Msgr. Stephen Churchwell will officiate.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2565 Thompson Bridge Road, Suite 114, Gainesville, GA  30501.
