Linzie B. “Slim” Kimbral, 76, of Dahlonega died Saturday December 19, 2009 at his residence following a period of declining health.

Born April 8, 1933 in Cartersville, Georgia to the late Dave and Elizer Kimbral, he had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 13 years having moved from Dawson County.  Mr. Kimbral was a retired carpenter and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Kimbral, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Surviving are his children, Donnie Kimbrel, Kingston, GA, Aaron Kimbral, Kingston, Sandra Brown, Adairsville, GA, Patricia Kimbral, Adairsville, Diedra Kimbral, Adairsville, Deana Kimbral, Cartersville, Fabian Kimbral, Adairsville, Brian Kimbral, Adairsville; sisters, Irene Higgins, Dawsonville, Frances Stowers, Cumming, Martha Molder, Cumming, Brenda Thompson, Cumming; brothers, Kimsey Kimbral, Cumming, Leslie “Shroty” Kimbral, Cumming, Leonard Kimbral, Jasper; 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren.

At his request Mr. Kimbral was cremated.
