Lisa Jones Stowers, 49, of Dawsonville died Sunday December 27, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness.

Born June 29, 1960 to the late Robert and Dot Jones, she grew up in Forsyth County before moving to Dawson County in 1985.  Lisa graduated from Forsyth County High School and attended Lanier Technical College. She was formerly employed by Alpha metals and Tractor Supply Company, attended Lanier Hills Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by a niece, Connie Lera Morris.

Surviving are her husband, Joel D. Stowers, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Kyle A. and Donna Lynn Payne, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Makenzy Payne, Tristan Payne; sisters and brothers in law, Marlene and Calvin Holden, Dawsonville, Louise and Tom Seawright, Hartwell, Kathy and Dwayne Stapler, Dawsonville; brothers and sisters in law, Doug and Gail Jones, Dawsonville, Don and Teeter Jones, Dawsonville; father and mother in law, Doug and Ethell Stowers, Hiawassee, and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 30, 2009 at 3 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. Sam Morris will officiate.

The family will receive friends after 5:30 p.m. Monday and all day Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to offset final expenses.
