Marjorie Vandivere Anderson, 83, of Dawsonville died Tuesday December 22, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a short illness.

Born July 24, 1926 to the late Worth and Ethel Vandivere, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.  Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and member of New Bethel Baptist Church.  She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Rogers, Eufula “Vandy” Williams, Sadie Houston, Kathleen Reece and brother, J. W. Vandivere.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, J. B. Anderson, Dawsonville; children, Curtis and Carolyn Anderson, Gainesville, Karen and Harold McCord, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Brooke and Carie Anderson, Whitney Anderson, Nathan and Jessica McCord; great grandchildren, Grace Anderson, Samuel Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Sunday December 27, 2009 at 2 o’clock at New Bethel Baptist Church.  Rev. Leonard W. Ridings, Rev. Johnny Eubanks and Rev. Bobby Whitmire will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 until 9 at the funeral home.
