Ollie Ralston, 94, of Cumming died Saturday January 9, 2010 at Cumming Nursing Center following a period of declining health.
Born February 14, 1916 in Lumpkin County to the late John W., Sr. and Ella Perry Ralston, she lived most of her life in Atlanta. Ollie retired from Fulton Bag Cotton Mill after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Grace Chapter #551 of the Order of Eastern Star and was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Clara Barker, Laura Ralston, and brothers, William Isaac Ralston, J. D. Ralston, and John W. “June Bug” Ralston, Jr.
Surviving are her sisters, Katie Shelton, Buford, Jimmie Nell Hamby, Cumming, Geneva Smith, Chickamauga, Martha Taylor, Dawsonville; brother and sisters in law, Charles and Brenda Ralston, Bonaire, GA, Lethia Ralston, Conyers, special great great nephew, Andrew B. Shelton, Dawsonville; 17 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 12, 2010 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Cecil Reeves will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
