Sandra Sue Ward, 65, of Dawsonville died Thursday January 21, 2010 at her residence following a sudden illness.

Born July 16, 1944 to the late Watson and Zelia Dollar, she lived in Dawson County all but 13 years she lived in Jacksonville, FL.  Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be missed by all.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Bailey, and a brother, Leonard Dollar.

Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Ron Ward, Dawsonville; sons and daughter in law, Ricky Ward, Hampton, Marty and Stefanie Ward, Dawsonville, Scott Ward, Dawsonville; sisters and brother in law, Inez and Loy Waters, Jackson, Evelyn Meadows, Macon; grandchildren, Stephanie Ward, Brittany Ward, Jacob Ward, Ronnie Ward, Jeri Ward, Candice Ward, and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Sunday January 24, 2010 at 2 o’clock at Bethel Baptist Church.  Rev. Stephen Davis and Rev. Leonard W. Ridings will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 1 o’clock Saturday at the funeral home.
