Cumming-based Qwizzy’s World (QW), an online study site, recently launched a fun contest for teachers at McNeill Elementary School in Richmond, Texas, one of several schools participating in the QW School Campaign, a new turnkey way for schools to earn money while enhancing education.
Each time students at participating schools sign up for Qwizzy’s World, the respective schools receive a guaranteed dollar amount from each enrollment. And students who sign up via the Campaign receive a free 30-day trial and then a 25% discount on an annual membership. Teachers in participating schools receive free lifetime memberships to Qwizzy’s World, as well as a one-year membership for their classrooms.
To qualify for the QW Contest, teachers had to be employed by a school participating in the QW School Campaign (like McNeill) and sign up with QW at www.QWConnection.com. One teacher per school was selected to win the grand prize, which is a gift certificate for a mouth-watering turkey, compliments of Theo and Monica Kovasovic, owners of Kovasovic's Fresh Meat Market in Rosenberg, TX -- just in time for the holiday season.
Teachers who signed up during a designated period of time had one ticket entered into the drawing, and those creating 10 or more quizzes on their QW personal or classroom accounts by a designated date were awarded two additional tickets to be entered in the drawing.
As a bonus, QW awarded a classroom party to the teacher who enrolled the most students in QW for the 30-day free trial by the designated date. The classroom party can be arranged at the time and date of the winning teacher’s choosing.
Qwizzy’s World founder, Julie Wilson, flew to Houston to McNeill Elementary School, delighted to personally award prizes to the following teachers at McNeill:
Jessica Drapela – Turkey, compliments of Kovasovic's Fresh Meat Market
Meka Sephus -- Classroom Party
Wilson also awarded 4th grader, Leslie Romero, a $25 Target gift card for her exemplary performance on Qwizzy’s World, having crafted 33 quizzes to study from in one month.
During her visit, Wilson was particularly pleased to present McNeill Elementary School Principal -- and Texas 2009 Elementary Level National Distinguished Principal -- Ken Davis, the very first Business Partnership check, totaling over $100. Checks will continue to be awarded during designated times as more students enroll via the QW School Campaign.
When schools enter into a business partnership with Qwizzy’s World, the program is set-up to give back to the school almost 50% of the QW membership fees earned via student enrollment. So, not only does the program promote enhanced educational opportunities, it provides another monetary resource for participating schools.
Students at schools in Georgia and across the country can sign-up for Qwizzy’s World via www.QWStudy.com. Schools interested in joining the QW School Campaign are invited to contact Julie Wilson at julie@qwizzysworld.com.

I love the way the the Qwizzy's World founders are working so hard to get parents, teachers, and students fired up about learning the best way to study! The school campaign is really a terrific way to introduce Qwizzy's World to as many students as possible, and it will get students and teacher sharing with each other the many ways they can use the site. I think that this is a wonderful idea! Congratulations to all of the students and teachers who have participated in this campaign!
