ATLANTA, Ga. Bess Edge Smith, 88, of Atlanta, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, in Lenbrook Square in Atlanta.Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, in Doerun Cemetery with the Rev. Zack Dawes officiating. A memorial service will also be held Sunday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta.Born May 9, 1921, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Nina Pearl Smith Edge and Charles Marlin Edge. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Doyle Smith.Survivors include sons, Hollis D. Smith and wife Georgia of Alexandria, Va., and Carl M. Smith and wife Monica of San Diego, Calif.; and a brother-in-law, George B.
