Cherry Loudermilk Wells July 8, 1940 - August 6, 2009 COLUMBUS, GA Cherry Loudermilk Wells, age 69, resident of Columbus, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled at Evangel Temple Assembly of God on Saturday, August 8, 2009, 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Richard Collins and Reverend Watson McKemie officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Mrs. Wells, daughter of the late Joseph Meredith Loudermilk and Azalia Elefair Amerson, was born July 8, 1940 in Columbus. She was a homemaker and member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God. Mrs. Wells was actively involved in her church and was a member of the Joint Heirs Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John E. Wells of Columbus; one daughter, Cherry Gaye Wells of Columbus; one son, John E. Wells, Jr. of Columbus; two sisters, Violet Loudermilk Gruber of Columbus and Gaily Loudermilk Geiger of Columbus; one brother, Joey A. Loudermilk and his wife Pansy of Ellerslie, GA; five grandchildren, John E. Tripp" Wells III, Victoria N. Tori Wells, Alexandria T. Tessley Wells, Jospeh Taran Wells, and Coleman A.
