WHITAKER, Diane Elinor 71, of Murrayville, GA, formerly of Pine Island and Seminole, passed away peacefully Dec. 5, 2009 following a brief illness. Her husband, Carl, children Steven, Lori Lomelino and Cheri Cohen, kept vigil at her bedside at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in Cleveland, OH, she met Carl at Michigan State University and soon after they married in Chicago. She is survived by her husband, children and siblings, Dennis Carlson and Lynn Nelson and five grandchildren. Her family and friends will gather on her birthday in Dunedin, to celebrate her life.
