Dorothy Wallace September 13, 1931 - November 22, 2009 COLUMBUS, GA Dorothy Wallace, age 78, resident of Columbus, died on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at her residence. Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Ed Kvietkus officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Mrs. Wallace, daughter of the late Herbert Lee Fuller, Sr. and Mattie Lee Moon Fuller, was born September 13, 1931 in Dadeville, AL. She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist and had worked for several years with Coastal States Insurance before she then went to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, where she dedicated over 20 years of faithful service. Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Wallace. She is survived by four sons, Byron Fred Cook and his wife Charlene of Fort Valley, GA, Kenneth A. Cook of Blairsville, GA, Michael K. Cook and his wife Leigh of Peachtree City, GA, Philip K. Cook of Kennesaw, GA; two sisters, Mary Bryant of Columbus and Carolyn Fuller and her husband Bill of Dadeville, AL; two brothers, Herbert Lee Fuller, Jr and his wife Shirley of Alexander City, AL and Glenn Fuller and his wife Carol of New Site ,AL; five grandchildren, Mimi, Michael, Ed, Mattie Rose, and Philip; other relatives and friends.
