Ernest Woodford, Sr. -MACON - Mr. Ernest Woodford, Sr. departed this life November 24, 2009 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 1P.M. at White Spring Baptist Church (Twiggs County). Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. -He was born July 20, 1930 to the late Norman S. Woodford, Sr. and Alberta Bostic Woodford in Twiggs County. He was a faithful member of White Springs Baptist Church in Twiggs County where he served on the Usher Board. He retired from Cherokee Culvert Pipe Company. He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Leona Bell Woodford of forty-five years; three brothers, Norman Woodford, Jr., Leroy Woodford, and Willie B. Postal; two sisters, Flora Jones and Lennie Denson. -He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Norma Jean Woodford, Beverly Woodford Carswell (Calvin), Dublin, GA; nine sons, Ernest Woodford, Jr. (Charlene), Jerome Woodford, Melvin Woodford (Valerie), Alvin Woodford (Linda), Calvin Woodford (Rowena), Kelvin Woodford, Keith Woodford (Glenda), Ronald Woodford (Arnissa) and Donald Woodford (Linda); thirty grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Qualls, Piscataway, NJ; one brother, Willie Mack Woodford, Sr. (Pearlie), Twiggs County; three brothers-in-law, John Henry Bell, George Willie Bell (Hattie), McClinton Bell (Marynell); a sister-in-law, Beatrice Woodford and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew, great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. -Family will greet friends on Friday, November 27,2009 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at C.J.
