Essie Mae Wilson, 73, of Valdosta, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at the home of her daughter, after a short illness.Essie was born April 24, 1936, in Georgetown, S.C., a daughter of Alf and Anna Cooper. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.She is survived by three children, Debbie Tomlinson of Valdosta, Bruce Nesbitt of Jennings, Fla., and Mary Alice Feagin of S.C.; two stepsons, Ronald Nesbitt of Valdosta, and Arnold Nesbitt of Tennessee; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, sisters, her first love and husband, Robert Samuel Nesbitt, and her second husband, C.E. (Tommy) Wilson.Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Pastor Kelly Barcol officiating.
