Glenn W. WilseyMay 16, 1924 to September 30, 2009For all that he sacrificed, for everything that he touched, for each of us that he embraced, he will be reverently remembered as a good husband, good father and a good friend. For these noteworthy accomplishments are what life is, and they are what life is about.Glenn was born in Mendocino County to Melville Bud and Myrtle Wilsey, he has been a long time resident of Humboldt County. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Wayne and Sammy. Glenn was highly decorated while serving in the US Army, 32nd Red Arrow Infantry Division, in the South Pacific during World War II. He was awarded many commendations including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. For many years Glenn was a member of the Shiners, Mason and Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Wilsey and his children; Bret Wilsey and Donna Ashey, Blaine and Deborah Lowry, Tony and Lynn Byram, Jack and Sherri Fearing, Buck and Andrea Arnold. Grandchildren; Dustin, Jesse, Brandon, Bryce, Phillip, Adam, Jimmy, Hillary, Tracy, Gabriel, Sean, Erin, Kehli, Angela, Karl, Kacey, Amy. Great Grandchildren; Keenan, Olie, Genevieve, Joseph, Eric, Jennifer, John David, Angel, Alex, Ashlyn, Cody, Lane, Olivia, Kaela, Finnigan, Whitney, Seamus, Ryder, Magdaline, Megan. Great great grandchild; Tanner. The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful and compassionate care given by Hospice of Humboldt, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Mad River Home Health with special thanks to Nita Mirsky, Jim Lawer, Len Davis, and Domonic Tarantino.Services will be held at one oclock at Ocean View Cemetery on Monday, October 5, 2009.
