Family-Placed Death Notice WORLEY, Joan Joan Carrol Benedict Worley was born 10/30/1931 to Frances Luznar and Joseph Benedict, Jr. in Amherst, Ohio. Grew up in Samsula, Florida. Valedictorian of class of 1949, New Smyrna Beach High School. Attended Emory University School of Nursing. Past President of Valley Forrest Garden Club, The Young Matron's Circle for Tallulah Falls School, Riverside West Garden Club and Riverside Homeowners' Association. An avid gardener, she and her husband Bill had an extensive collection of native plants and flowers. She was a life member of the Garden Club of Georgia and was honored as member of the year. Survived by her husband of 58 years, William L. Worley. Pre-deceased in death by two sisters: Frances Raulerson and Marie Carter. Three living brothers are Joseph Benedict III, Frank David Benedict and George Earl Benedict, all of Samsula, Florida.
