Lucille Estelle Wade, age 77, of Lula passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Banks County on June 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late T.J. and Myrtle Poole Wade. Ms. Wade retired from Carwood as a machine operator and was a member of Yonah Congregational Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her brother, Otha L. Wade; and nephew, Harold Wade. Surviving are sisters and brothers-in-law, Julia and Ernest Powell of Lula, Joyce and Eugene Franklin of Alto and Gertrude and Garnett Grier of Lula; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Couch of Alto; and nieces and nephews, Christine Wilkes, Linda Warwick, Latise Marcus, Ronnie Franklin and Kim Grier-Jones. She is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, from the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart chapel with the Rev. John Umberhant and the Rev. Grady White officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Turpin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.
