Mae Willie Terry Walker -OGLETHORPE, GA - Mae Willie Terry Walker, age 85, of Oglethorpe, passed Wednesday, October 7, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted 11A.M., Monday, October 12, 2009 at Jehovah Baptist Church, 201 Chatham Street, Oglethorpe. Interment will follow in the Oglethorpe City Cemetery, Memorial Drive, Oglethorpe. -Mae Willie Terry Walker was born April 12, 1924 to the late Arthur "Coot" Terry and Jewel Trice Hefflin in Schley County, Georgia. At an early age, she confessed Jesus Christ as her Savior and joined the Quebec Baptist Church in Ellaville, Georgia, where she served until the time of her death. She was educated in the Schley County public school system. On March 18, 1938, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late John Henry Walker. Their union welcomed twelve children. Two sons, James Paul and Johnnie Lee, preceded her in death. -Left to cherish her memories and carry her legacy are her ten children, Brenda King (Eugene) of Ellaville, Georgia; Mattie W. Hadley, Montezuma, Georgia; Fannie W. Brown (William), Gladys Calloway, Gloria W. Lumpkin (Willie), and Charles Walker (Anna), all of Oglethorpe; Elizabeth Murray (Rickey), Decatur, Georgia; Lavolia Hayes, Albany, Georgia; Eddie Walker (Verna Dean), Marshallville, Georgia; and Doris Pugh (Indavie) of Montgomery, Alabama; one stepdaughter, Ruby N. Hart, Atlanta, Georgia; nine sisters and brothers, Arthur Terry (Burla Mae), Atlanta, Georgia; Ollie Kate Brooks, Robert Lee Terry, and Mary Washington, all of Ideal, Georgia; Elder Henry Terry (Julia), Decatur, Georgia; Helen Hart and Earnestine Frazier, both of Ellaville, Georgia; Mary Kate Boyd, Amherst, VA; and Rev. Willie C. Terry (Renee), East Point, Georgia.; 33 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. -Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel, Inc.
