Robert B. Whitehead November 20, 1935 - November 14, 2009 FORTSON, GA Robert B. Whitehead, 73 of Fortson, GA, died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Columbus Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Prather officiating. A private interment will be held in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907. Mr. Whitehead was born November 20, 1935 in Colquitt, GA., son of the late William O. and Tesser Smith Whitehead. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his sisters Sybil Smith and Quillie Guthery of Columbus, GA; a brother Albert Whitehead of Hamilton, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
