Forsyth County Commissioners David Richard (District 4) and Charles Laughinghouse (District 1) will be co-hosting a Town Hall meeting to be held at Bethel Park on Wednesday, May 10th at 7:00 p.m.
The focus on the Town Hall meeting will be the proposed YMCA camp which is vehemently opposed by many Forsyth County residents and visitors who use the park. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and YMCA representatives will be invited to attend and speak at this event.
Other topics of general interest to Forsyth County residents may be discussed following the Bethel Park issue.
Commissioner Richard, in whose district Bethel Park resides, said; ”Town Hall meetings, where no topic is off-limits, are the best way to clear the air about problems and the misconceptions surrounding them. Commissioner Laughinghouse and I are pleased to offer all sides of this particular issue a chance to speak their piece to each other and to their elected officials”.
