Flood Warning Issued for Parts of Etowah River

A river flood warning was issued at 10:47 a.m. on 7/12 for parts of the Etowah River near Dawsonville. The latest stage was 10.4 feet at 10:00 am, and the flood stage is 10.0 feet.

The forecast for the Etowah River near Dawsonville is that the river will crest near 11.0 feet around 12:00 pm and will fall below flood stage around 3:00 pm.

At 10.0 feet, bankful and flood stage are reached. Minor flooding begins in pasture lands and water approaches Nicholson Road in low areas of Northwest Forsyth County.
