Light snow was reported early Tuesday morning in North Georgia.

Georgia Department of Transportation spokesman, Mark McKinnon, said Richard B. Russell Parkway, in Union County, and Georgia 180 Spur, which runs up Brasstown Bald mountain in White County, were closed due to the white stuff.

National Weather Service meteorologist, Eric Avila, said the White-Union county area reported up to an inch and a half of snow Monday night.
