August dates announced for Board member community meetings

Each member of the Fulton County Board of Education sponsors a monthly meeting open to all members of the community. The sessions provide an opportunity for direct contact with community members and give Board members a chance to listen to local issues and concerns.

 

Board members have set the following meeting dates for August 2006:

 

Linda Schultz, District 1

August 16, 9:30 a.m.

Crabapple Middle School

 

Katie Reeves, District 2

August 15, 9:30 a.m.

Home of Katie Reeves

4165 Big Creek Overlook

 

Gail Dean, District 3

August 15, 9:30 a.m.

Heards Ferry Elementary School

 

Linda Bryant, District 4

No August meeting scheduled

 

Liz Hausmann, District 5

August 15, 10 a.m.

Wilson Creek Elementary School

 

Zenda Bowie, District 6

August 14, 6:30 p.m.

Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church

(1150 Jefferson Avenue, East Point)

 

Julia Bernath, District 7

August 11, 9:30 a.m.

Centennial High School

 

The members of the Fulton County Board of Education have hosted these community meetings for a number of years and are believed to be one of the few Boards in the country to use such a process for gathering input.
