DEVRY UNIVERSITY/GEORGIA ANNOUNCES EIGHTH ANNUAL YOUNG WOMEN IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOP FOR HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS AND SENIORS

DeVry University will host the eighth annual Young Women in Science and Technology workshop. This event is designed to encourage and reinforce young women’s interest in careers in science- and technology-related fields and to increase the number of young women pursing these opportunities. The program will feature presentations from prominent women working in fields relating to science and technology.

 

Young Women in Science and Technology is a free program made possible by co-sponsor donations.


WHEN: Tuesday, November 14, 2006

8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Best media time: 8:45 a.m. keynote address by Stephanie Miles-Richardson, D.V.M., Ph.D., associate director for policy, planning and evaluation for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

 

WHERE: DeVry University/Georgia - Decatur campus

250 N. Arcadia Avenue, just off DeKalb Industrial Way

WHO: More than 300 high school juniors and seniors, their parents and educators from throughout Georgia
