On Tuesday, February 7, schools in Fulton County will honor the legacy of Coretta Scott King by paying special attention to her life and accomplishments.

As an important figure in civil rights and history, Mrs. King’s life will be celebrated through learning activities and the daily moment of reflection. It is our belief that Mrs. King’s legacy is best respected by learning about her contributions.

We do realize that some in our district plan to remember Mrs. King by attending the funeral. Documented absences due to the funeral will be excused.
