Bulky Trash Days Coming Soon

Roswell, GA (September 19, 2006)-Residents of Roswell, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs and unincorporated areas of North Fulton have the opportunity to dispose of bulky items on Saturday, October 14 and Saturday, October 21 from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at various locations in Roswell and Sandy Springs. There is no charge to participate.

 

Examples of items that will be accepted include: deactivated cell phones, furniture, refrigerators, washers, dryers, televisions and tires (automobile only, off the rim, limit 4 per car.)

 

Items that will not be accepted include: paint, household hazardous waste, motor oil, antifreeze, household batteries, construction/demolition materials and yard waste.

 

Locations for the two dates include:

  • Saturday, October 14, residents of unincorporated North Fulton County and Sandy Springs can bring items to the North Fulton Government Center, 7741 Roswell Road, or Providence Park, 3440 Providence Road.
  • Saturday, October 21, residents of Roswell and Alpharetta can bring items to the City of Roswell Public Works, 1810 Hembree Road.

 

Bulky Trash Amnesty Day is being held by the City of Roswell in conjunction with the E-Scrap Recycling Event at all locations. For proper disposal of those items not accepted, contact the following:

  • Roswell Recycling Center 770.442.8822 (motor oil and antifreeze)
  • Sandy Springs Recycling Center 770.551.7766
  • The Pollution Prevention Assistance Division www.p2ad.org/hhwguide.html
  • Chadwick Landfill 770.475.9868 (construction/demolition materials only)
