VI. NEW BUSINESS:
A. **First Reading – An Ordinance to regulate and provide for the calling of a city of Alpharetta Non-Partisan Special Election to elect a successor to serve the unexpired term of Council Member R.J. Kurey (Post 5); to provide for publication and notice of the election; to establish a candidate qualification period and qualification fee; to establish a voter registration cut-off date; and for other purposes.
B. **First Reading – An Ordinance to regulate and provide for the calling of a Special Election for the purpose of submitting to the electors of the City of Alpharetta for approval or rejection of an act (H.B. 1341) adopted by the General Assembly of the State of Georgia and approved by the Governor in the 2006 Session of the Georgia General Assembly, which Act provides for an increase in the Homestead Exemption from certain City of Alpharetta Ad Valorem Taxes, conditioned upon voter approval.
C. **First Reading – An Ordinance to regulate and provide for the calling of a Special Election for the purpose of submitting to the electors of the City of Alpharetta for the approval or rejection of an Act (H.B. 1099) adopted by the General Assembly of the State of Georgia and approved by the Governor in the 2006 session of the General Assembly, which Act authorizes the City to exercise redevelopment powers, conditioned upon voter approval.
