ATLANTA, April 11, 2006 — VSA arts of Georgia celebrates its annual gala “Open to the Arts” on Thursday, April 27, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. VSA provides access to the arts for Georgians with disabilities and those who are economically disadvantaged. “Open to the Arts,” will take place in downtown Atlanta in the historic Healey Building, the home of VSA’s offices and its Arts for All Gallery.
“The gala celebrates those who have kept VSA arts of Georgia thriving and invites new supporters to become a part of a nonprofit that touches the lives of more than 100,000 Georgians every year,” said Karen McRae, 2006 Gala Chair.
The gala will feature live music and entertainment by celebrity emcee, Tommy Futch of Laughing Matters, throughout the evening. Guests can enjoy hands-on-art-making, creative exhibitions, silent auction, live auction and refreshments.
VSA arts of Georgia invites advocates to join in the celebration to help sustain its mission. Tickets are priced at $35 per guest and may be obtained by contacting the Arts for All Gallery at 404-221-1270 or info@VSAartsGA.org.
