Congressman Price, representative of the 6th congressional district, will hold a workshop and question and answer discussion on Medicare enrollment in the first comprehensive prescription drug benefit ever offered under the Medicare program
Starting January 1, 2006, new Medicare prescription drug coverage was available to everyone with Medicare. Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage is insurance. Private companies provide the coverage. Beneficiaries choose the drug plan and pay a monthly premium. Like other insurance, if a beneficiary decides not to enroll in a drug plan when they are first eligible, they may pay a penalty if they choose to join later.
The Medicare Part D Prescription Drug plan is now three months old, and more than 27 million beneficiaries are receiving prescription drug coverage. Around 90 percent of Medicare beneficiaries have enrolled in a different plan from the standard plan designed by the government. Many are choosing plans that offer lower deductibles, or no deductibles; fixed co-payments for most drugs; and extra coverage in the coverage
As of this time, there is a May 15th deadline for Seniors to sign up for prescription drug coverage.
If you or your family has not signed up, and needs information on HOW, WHAT, WHY, WHEN, WHERE PLAN TO ATTEND THIS WORKSHOP.
To be held on the 5th of May from 4pm until 6pm
at 500 Norcross St. ROSWELL
(Corner of Grimes Bridge and Norcross)
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
