The FairTax rally was held at the Gwinnett convention center, Wednesday. The rally sparked the interest of more such rallies around the country. The crowd inside peaked at about 4500 with at least as many more gathered outside. At that point it was decided to air the rally on the radio.

John Linder, the founder of the fair tax legislation was in attendance. Herman Cain joined him with WSB’s deal finder Clark Howard, nationally syndicated talk show host Sean Hannity and ABC’s 20/20 John Stossel. Georgia senator Saxby Chambliss was also available via video broadcast .

The rally focused on the push to have the Fairtax put into action sooner rather than later. Many people think it has been on the back burner too long.

Some of the biggest news to come out at this rally was that John Linder is going to go to the white house in the near future. He plans to encourage the president to have the republican party run on the Fairtax platform this fall. Right now, there are about 50 million people in the US that are aware of the bill. Since we have about 300 million in the country, proponents of the bill have their work cut out for them.
