Lee J. Howard, president of Lee J. Howard Entertainment in Roswell, has been appointed to the Cultural Arts Board (CAB) by Roswell’s Mayor and City Council. Mr. Howard’s business designs, books and produces music and entertainment for special events in the Metro Atlanta area.
Mr. Howard said he is honored to be appointed to the CAB. “I care passionately about the arts and am committed to utilizing its power to connect people and deepen relationships within our community,” he said. “I further intend to help expand the understanding of the tremendous positive economic impact a vibrant arts scene brings to our city.”
The Cultural Arts Board was established in 1999 by the Mayor and City Council. It is the Board’s principal purpose to study and make recommendations to the Mayor and Council concerning planning, financial support, services for, and promoting development of arts organizations, artists, cultural activity, and cultural tourism in the City.
The Board is comprised of seven members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council. Each member serves a four-year term. The current members are Sharon Moskowitz, chair; Kathy LeNoir; Carl Owens; Gail Bohannon; Carlyn Romeyn; Phil Parker; and Lee J. Howard.
