Superior Court Judge Melvin Westmoreland of Fulton County has ruled in favor of Former Governor Roy Barnes’ plaintiffs, who challenged Georgia’s voter ID law. According to Barnes’ office, Westmoreland has ruled in favor of the plaintiffs and issued a temporary restraining order on the implementation of the law. No word yet as to whether or not this could delay the upcoming primary, currently slated for July 18th.

Staff of NorthFultonTimes team has called the Barnes office at 3pm when this happened!
